The only natural harbour on the wild Aegean side of Pelion. According to a Venetian legend the name Damouhari derives from the Greek expression dos mou han' which means give me grace' which was a prayer of the seamen when in danger in the area. In the little church of St. Nicolas are the wonderful sacred paintings by Pagonis from 1800 AD.
